I always wanted to have Molly to have that brown coat. Her raincoat is just not heavy enough for winter [img]wink.gif[/img] .
I went through Molly's illustrations and wrote down what she was wearing each time she appeared. I know she has been reillustrated a few times so here are the disclaimers: These books are all from before Felicity was released (only 3 silouttes on the back). All are illustrated by Nick Backes except Molly Learns a Lesson which was illustrated by C. F. Payne.
I only counted pictures of Molly wearing an outfit, not of the outfit itself (example: Victory Dress in an inset). In group pictures of Molly saves the day, if I couldn't pick out Molly, I didn't count it.
Some interesting things: Molly wears her school outfit in her "potrait" not her meet outfit. Molly wears her pajamas in every book except "Learns a Lesson", but they do not have stripes in "Saves the Day." She has to wear her brothers red rain coat and black galoshes in "Learns a Lesson" but has her own yellow raincoat and red galoshes in "Changes." In "Suprise" I think she is supposed to be in the same yellow plaid shirt, but midway through it changes to a thicker stripe, making it look less plaid. Molly is never seen wearing her birthday dress in the actual book illustrations.

With the exception of her pajamas, Molly does not have a lot of overlap of her outfits between books. The cover outfit she wears the most in it's book is the camp outfit. The cover outfit she wears the least (never!) is the birthday pinafore. The school outfit appears the most often, because it is the potrait picture, but the pajamas appear only one less time. Her camp outfit is worn as often as her pajamas, but Molly is only shown in illustrations (non-potrait) in the camp outfit and pajamas in "saves the day."
Molly, obviously has many outfits she doesn't wear in her books, because she has such a large collection. I believe the after school outfit has the shirt she wears in the "learns a lesson book."
I think it would be great if AG made her English Princess outfit! Maybe they will if Emily is her friend (although I think one of her friends who is all of the books should be the friend, but how do you pick which one?)

You are right about emily's clothes. She would have the outfit i just described, and Molly's birthday dress.
Although- Nellie doesn't have a huge collection. But if Elizabeth is a big success I'm sure a "friends collection" will be a continued thing.
